We are collecting women's clothing for Cross Roads Reconciliation, a local organization providing support services to women who have been previously incarcerated. All sizes are needed; especially professional attire that the women can wear to job interviews and to work.
We are collecting closed toed athletic shoes and hiking boots for Project Sole, an international organization that provides shoes to people in countries throughout the world. This is in partnership with Enactus Averett, a student group at Averett University. Shoes must be closed toed, low heeled and cannot have any holes.
To contribute items to our clothing and shoe drive, contact a member of Danville After Hours Rotary, or stop by one of our upcoming meetings: Tuesday, April 1st, 8th or 15th, 5:30-6:30pm at the Danville Golf Club (2725 West Main Street, Danville, VA 24541).
Our club is dedicated to international AND community service, so we are excited that this project will benefit both our local community and others around the world! Thank you for your support of these organizations and of our clothing and shoe drive!
